Permolit Permomax Silicone Matt Interior Paint is a water-based, acrylic emulsion-based,
silicone-enhanced, decorative, full matt and fully wipeable premium-quality interior topcoat.

Paint Film Resistant to Mould and Fungal Growth Permolit Permomax is formulated to create a paint film that is resistant to mould and fungal growth. The active ingredient in the formulation helps protect the paint film against mould and fungal growth, supporting the service life of the coating. This makes the product suitable for properly prepared interior surfaces in bathrooms, kitchens, kindergartens, living spaces and food production facilities where mould and fungal growth is undesirable. If mould or fungal growth is already present on the substrate, appropriate mechanical cleaning and surface preparation must be carried out before painting.

How Should the Surface Be Prepared?

1. Clean the surface.
   Remove dirt, dust, grease, old paint residues and other contaminants that may affect application performance.
2. Remove loose layers.
   Loose or unstable material that cannot support itself must be completely removed before application.
3. Make sure the surface is dry.
   Paint must be applied to dry and properly prepared surfaces.
4. Repair cracks and surface imperfections.
   Uneven areas, surface defects and cracks should be repaired using
   Permolit Permomacun Water-Based Super Acrylic Interior Wall Putty.
5. Prime new plastered and putty-applied surfaces.
   New plastered or putty-applied surfaces being painted for the first time should be primed with one coat of
   Permobinder or Permoten Satin Gypsum Primer.
6. Prepare previously painted surfaces.
   Previously painted surfaces and other suitable substrates should be primed with one coat of
   Permomax Universal Primer.
7. Allow the primer to dry.
   Paint application can begin approximately 6 hours after primer application.
8. Prepare surfaces with existing mould or fungal growth.
   Where growth is already present, appropriate mechanical cleaning must be completed first,
   followed by suitable pre-treatment with Permobio.

 

1. Stir Thoroughly Stir the paint thoroughly before application until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

2. Thin with Approximately 10% Water Thin the product with approximately 10% water by volume.

3. Apply the First Coat Apply evenly using a medium pile roller, brush or airless spraying system.

4. Wait 4 – 6 Hours Allow the recommended waiting time between coats before applying the next coat.

5. Apply the Second Coat Complete the application using at least two coats.
